The voltage regulator assembly shown in figures 1 and 2 can be powered from a 28 or 36 volt center taped secondary winding of a power transformer with a 117 volt, 60 Hz primary winding, or for portable equipment applications, standard alkaline batteries. Three 9 volt or five 6 volt batteries connected in series are suggested (27 or 30 volts). The circuit diagram of figures 3 and 4 show AC and DC sources driving the regulator. For battery operation, diodes, D1 – 4 provide reverse battery polarity protection. The board size is 4.0 X 2.2 (inches).

To power the DRA12, use transformer P/N F122X or 166G28, and to power the DRA15 and DRA18, use transformer P/N P-8612.
